Updated documentation
The development of PHPBlosxom has stalled since a long time. The former developer Magnus Nordlander has no interest in the project anymore. He decided to hand things over to me because I made some improvements to the CVS code of the project. These improvements mainly consisted of fixing some warnings and notifications.
To become familiar with the sourcecode I decided to provide some architectual documentation. The documentation I wrote is mainly inteded for developers. But also writers of modules (which is some sort of plugin mechanism) can take advantage of the documentation. I also mentioned some parts of the code which could use some improvement. The CVS version provides support for PyBlosxom-like flavours, so I also documented the template variables which are currently supported.
Magnus Nordlander also said the Wiki which is used to provide documentation is hosted on his own server which is not very fast. So I decided to put up the documentation on the Sourceforge server. Therefore, other people cannot modify its contents. If you have suggestions or improvements, please mail me at msturm <at> zeelandnet <dot> nl.
The documentation is very rough and in an early stage. I will probably improve it in the feature.
Sat, 28 Aug 2004We have a Wiki
Today I sat down and started setting up a wiki. That is now complete. I could not, however set it up on the SourceForge server, due to some missing things, so therefore it is hosted on my own server. Which doesn't have the best connection, so bear with it.
Furthermore, 0.2 is not too far away.
Release of version 0.1
Today we have released version 0.1 of the PHPBlosxom blogging system.
the release does work, in fact this page runs on it, but for all we know
it could have a lot of bugs.
Please remember that this is alpha software.
However if you find any bugs, please report them to us.

PHPBlosxom project started
We are proud to announce that the PHPBlosxom project is started!
PHPBlosxom is a clone written in PHP of the popular blogging engine blosxom.
Blosxom was written by Rael Dornfest, and it is an excellent engine.
However some (like myself) may feel that PHP is more of 'their language'.
PHPBlosxom is designed with modularity in mind, but also with simplicity.
As you can see from this subtle logo underneath, we are hosted by Sourceforge.
The graphics which we use come from two very talented photographers. Donald Lee and Wellington Guimaraeas.
You should expect a first release within a week. Any developes are free to contact me if they'd like to join us.
If you have only half the expectations of me for this project, well then that is a good thing :)
